Neruda hotel
The hotel is located across the river from the Old Town Square, at top of steep slope beneath the castle walls, surrounded by similar mansion-like, Bohemian-style buildings.

Neruda hotel
Named after the great writer and philosopher, Jan Neruda, who left his mark on Prague, the Neruda Hotel is a strong contender for the best boutique property in Malá Strana (Lesser Town). A 4-storey townhouse, it combines a high level of modern elegance with the original accents of its 14th century shell. The interior has been sensitively restored, with charming intimate nooks throughout and an inviting lobby. The 20 guestrooms are decorated in neutral tones, which create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The hotel also boasts a cool, well-furnished bar/restaurant with stone arches, which serves both international cuisine and regional specialities. It also offers various kinds of home made pastry, original hot chocolate and famous coffee.

Comment
This hotel is quite stylish although not particularly comfortable. It is very small with a dining room leading straight from reception, connecting to a small bar. Breakfast is simple but good quality. Great fruit and nice bacon!
The staff weren't particularly knowledgeable or helpful about where to eat, other than in their hotel! This is an area away from the main old town, over the Charles bridge and up a hill. So if you don't like walking much it isn't great. The great advantage is that it is away from the hubbub and has beautiful buildings and narrow streets.
