Intercontinental hotel
The hotel has a charming location on the banks of the Vltava river, only a few minutes from the main business, shopping and cultural areas of Prague. The nearest metro station is 5 minutes' walk away and the nearest train station is a 10 minute car journey.

Intercontinental hotel
The Intercontinental Hotel is housed in a tall modern glass building. The spacious marble lobby incorporates a comfortable seating area with a stripped pine floor and a shopping arcade. Also spacious, the 372 guestrooms feature modern furnishings and have been refurbished with pale wood fittings and warm colour schemes. They are in exceptional condition, as are the en suite marble bathrooms. The hotel has two restaurants. The Zlatá Praha (Golden Prague) is located on the 9th floor of the hotel and boasts an open-air terrace. Considered to be one of the city's finest restaurants, it serves both regional specialities and international cuisine for lunch and dinner. The hotel also offers a generous Continental breakfast every morning in the Primator Restaurant, located on the ground floor, with lovely views of the Vltava river. During the rest of the day this restaurant becomes a Grill Room. There’s also Duke´s Bar & Café, which serves excellent coffee, as well as delicious pastries & light snacks, and Enjoy 43, a summer garden restaurant on the square just in front of the hotel, serving sandwiches, salads and probably the best ice cream in town.

Great location with fantastic views over the river. No need for public transport, all major sites a short walk away. Lovely pool and a very well equipped gym. Breakfast fantastic too!
Top Tip
Les Moules restaurant opposite was OK, good for the beer and bread, not so good for the mussels! Must sees- Prague Castle,Kampa Museum. Disappointing=Wencelas Square,a bit of a dump.
Prague is a very cheap place to drink, same as UK to eat and expensive to shop for clothes. Lots of tourist tat too.

Lovely food in BAROCK which is only a short distance from the hotel on the way to Old Town Square. I would recommend the creme brulee, one of the nicest desserts I have ever tasted!!
